Virtual Breastfeeding Basics
We’re excited to offer virtual options for many of our classes and look forward to having you join us online!
To help ensure a smooth and engaging experience, please take a moment to review the following guidelines for attending virtual classes:
New to virtual classes? If you haven’t attended a virtual class with us before, please call our office ahead of time so we can set you up for remote services.
Camera requirement: All participants are required to keep their cameras on during class as part of our program standards.
Screen name: Please make sure your screen name matches the name you registered with.
Remote signature: Don’t forget to use the link provided to sign your remote signature before the end of class.
Following these steps helps us maintain a supportive and interactive learning environment. Please note that not meeting these requirements may result in removal from the class.

This class will cover the basics of breastfeeding. Topics will include:
- The Benefits of BreastFeeding
- How Breastfeeding Works
- Getting a Good latch
- Positions for Breastfeeding
- When to Feed Baby
- Making Sure Baby is Getting Enough Milk
- Pumping and Storing Milk
- Troubleshooting
Virtual Welcome Workshop(Please call our office to schedule your in office intake appointment prior to enrolling in this class)
The Welcome Workshop is a class for all program participants who have already completed their in person intake. Please call and schedule your intake prior to taking this class. During this workshop we will introduce you to our diverse program services, guide you through the sign-up process, and clarify expectations for your participation. We will also connect you with invaluable community resources to support your family's well-being. You and your family will leave this session understanding the tools we offer to help meet your goals and feel educated and empowered during pregnancy and/or parenting!

Welcome Workshop In Person(Please call our office to schedule your in person intake prior to attending this class)
with SABD Doulas

If this class is attended in person you will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card, you can shop the boutique, and you will receive a door prize. We will also connect you with invaluable community resources to support your family's well-being. You and your family will leave this session understanding the tools we offer to help meet your goals and feel educated and empowered during pregnancy and/or parenting!
Virtual Self Advocacy
Pregnancy is a deeply personal journey, and navigating the healthcare system can be overwhelming. This course is designed to equip expecting parents with the knowledge, confidence, and communication skills needed to advocate for themselves throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care.
Participants will explore:
- What self-advocacy means in the context of prenatal and birth care.
- How to communicate effectively with healthcare providers.
- Creating and using a birth plan to express preferences and values.
- Strategies for making informed decisions and asking the right questions.
- Navigating unexpected changes during labor and delivery.
- Understanding systemic challenges and how to advocate within them, especially for parents from marginalized communities.
- The role of partners and support people in advocacy.
Led by experienced birth professionals, this course offers practical tools, real-life scenarios, and supportive guidance to help parents feel empowered and respected in their care journey. Whether you're planning a hospital birth, home birth, or something in between, this class helps ensure your voice is heard and your choices are honored.

Marathon Childbirth Class

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.This class should be taken no earlier than 28 weeks of pregnancy.This class is our entire childbirth class series all in one day. We will cover Planning Your Birth and Healthy Pregnancy, Pain and Comfort Measures, Labor and Delivery, Medical Interventions, Postpartum and Newborn Care, and Breastfeeding Basics. Priority for this class is given to those who would not otherwise be able to attend a 4 weeks series due to their schedule or quickly approaching due date. Please do not sign up for this class unless you are able to attend the entire session. Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register.
Please bring your own water bottle for use with our water dispensers. Snacks will be provided when they are available. Please feel free to bring your own food to class.
Virtual Marathon Childbirth Class

Please arrive to class on time, participants will not be admitted 15 minutes after start time.This class should be taken no earlier than 28 weeks of pregnancy.
This class is our entire childbirth class series all in one day.
We will cover -
- Planning Your Birth,
- Pain and Comfort Measures,
- Labor and Delivery,
- Medical Interventions,
- Postpartum and Newborn Care.
Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register.
Those attending virtually may pick up a workbook and activity packet at our office prior to class.

Infant Massage(Only Adult Attendees Need to Complete the Registration)

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time and those arriving late will need to sign up for the next class. You are encouraged to take this class with your newborn to 6 months old, non mobile baby.Our infant massage instructor will discuss the benefits of infant massage for both infants and parents. The instructor will also instruct participants as they engage their babies in a gentle massage. This includes learning the various massage strokes and how to recognize their baby’s cues, as well as massage techniques for gassiness and colic. You may bring an extra receiving blanket and a yoga mat or heavy quilt to put the baby on during the massage, or utilize one of the yoga mats we have available. Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register. Each participant who attends may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.

The Importance of Play
Please arrive to class on time. Participants will not be allowed in 15 minutes after class start time.
Play is far more than just fun—it’s a vital part of healthy development for children of all ages. In this engaging and informative class, participants will explore the essential role of play in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Through discussion, examples, and hands-on activities, we’ll examine how different types of play (free play, structured play, imaginative play, and physical play) contribute to learning and well-being.
