Virtual Newborn Care Part 2-Practical Application

Please arrive to class on time. Participants will not be allowed entry 15 minutes after class starts.This class is for expecting parents and will cover what to expect after the baby has been born. This class will cover common hospital procedures and how to advocate for yourself and your baby, the traits and reflexes that babies are born with, normal newborn behaviors and practical tips for comforting a crying baby. Each participant who attends the class may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.
Please bring your own water bottle for use with our water dispensers. Snacks will be provided when they are available. Please feel free to bring your own food to class.
Welcome Workshop In Person(Please call our office to schedule your in person intake prior to attending this class)

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.The Welcome Workshop is a class for all program participants who have already completed their in person intake. Please call and schedule your intake prior to taking this class. This is a hybrid class and can be taken in person or virtually. If this class is attended in person you will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card, you can shop the boutique, and you will receive a door prize. During this workshop we will introduce you to our diverse program services, guide you through the sign-up process, and clarify expectations for your participation. We will also connect you with invaluable community resources to support your family's well-being. You and your family will leave this session understanding the tools we offer to help meet your goals and feel educated and empowered during pregnancy and/or parenting!

Learning Through Play- Infants
(Do Not Register Children)
This class is taught by our Child Life Specialist and is designed to be an interactive class that engages parents and infants in play while teaching parents about the different developmental milestones as they move through the available activities.
- Parents will leave with ideas on how to facilitate play at home with their babies.
- This class is designed for infants and babies that are not mobile.
Please arrive to class on time. Participants will not be allowed into class if more than 15 minutes late.
**(Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register.) If class is cancelled for any reason, participants will be notified as soon as possible.**

Learning Through Play- Toddlers
(Do Not Register Children)
This class is taught by our Child Life Specialist and is designed to be an interactive class that engages parents and infants in play while teaching parents about the different developmental milestones as they move through the available activities.

- This class is designed for older babies who are mobil, toddlers and children under 3 years old.

Virtual-American Heart Association Health Lessons
Please arrive to class on time, access will be denied 15 minutes after class begins. These classes are part of the EmPOWERED series of classes offered in partnership with the American Heart Association. Each class focuses on a different health topic to assist participants in making healthy lifestyle choices. Participants may be entered into a raffle for a door prize after attending five classes.
June Workshop: Child Safety

This class covers essential child safety topics: car seat safety, baby-proofing, and sleep safety. We'll discuss a car seat check-up, securing your home against common hazards, and creating a safe sleep environment to reduce risks like SIDS. Through expert advice and practical tips, you'll gain confidence in protecting your little one.
Walk-ins are welcome, or sign up here. Sessions are offered in English and Spanish.
In English
12:30 pm - Car Seat Safety
1:30 pm - Sleep Safety (attend & receive a sleep sack)
2:30 pm - Baby-proofing (attend & receive a babyproofing kit)
Bring a pregnant friend or someone parenting a child under 3 years old!
Snacks will be provided. All attendees can shop our boutique, and receive a produce box (if you attend all 3 classes), a full package of diapers, and more!
Taller de junio: Seguridad infantil

Esta clase cubre temas esenciales de seguridad infantil: seguridad en el asiento del auto, medidas de seguridad para bebés y seguridad para dormir. Hablaremos sobre la revisión del asiento del auto, cómo proteger su hogar contra peligros comunes y cómo crear un ambiente seguro para dormir para reducir riesgos como el SMSL. Con consejos de expertos y consejos prácticos, ganará confianza para proteger a su pequeño.
Se aceptan visitas sin cita previa o inscríbase aquí. Las sesiones se ofrecen en inglés y español.
