In Person Understanding Gestational Diabetes & Hypertension in Pregnancy

Overview: This educational class is designed for expecting parents to gain a clear understanding of two common pregnancy-related conditions: gestational diabetes and hypertensive disorders, including gestational hypertension and preeclampsia. Through expert guidance, participants will learn how these conditions develop, how they are diagnosed, and most importantly, how to manage them for a healthy pregnancy and delivery.
What You’ll Learn:
Gestational Diabetes:
- What it is and why it occurs during pregnancy
- Risk factors and screening methods
- How gestational diabetes affects both mother and baby
- Nutrition and lifestyle strategies to manage blood sugar
- Monitoring techniques and treatment options, including insulin therapy
Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy:
- Types: chronic hypertension, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, and eclampsia
- Signs, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria
- Risk factors and potential complications
- Dietary and lifestyle recommendations
- When medical intervention or early delivery may be necessary
In Person Postpartum Restore
Postpartum Restore is designed to support clients in their postpartum recovery physically, emotionally, and mentally. This class will educate on the importance of maternal well-being, while teaching healthy coping skills to work through the impacts of stress from parenting. Child Watch will be available for clients to drop off their child(ren) and participate in the class. Partners are not recommended to attend the class due to topic sensitivity.
Virtual Postpartum Restore
Postpartum Restore is designed to support clients in their postpartum recovery physically, emotionally, and mentally. Virtual Maternidad empoderada: estrategias para el bienestar emocional en el posparto (Empowered Motherhood: Strategies for Emotional Wellness in Postpartum in Spanish)
Maternidad empoderada es una serie de cuatro semanas diseñada para ayudar a las mujeres embarazadas a superar los desafíos que pueden enfrentar durante el período posparto temprano. Si bien esta clase no es un tratamiento para la depresión posparto, su objetivo es brindarles a los participantes una comprensión de las emociones normales que se experimentan durante el período posparto, a menudo denominadas "tristeza posparto", y cómo reconocer cuándo estos sentimientos pueden indicar algo más graves, como la depresión posparto. Los participantes también obtendrán herramientas para controlar el estrés durante el embarazo y el período posparto, establecer límites con sus seres queridos, pedir ayuda, comunicar sus necesidades e identificar recursos para apoyo adicional cuando sea necesario.

In Person - Marathon - Childbirth Education Class

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.This class should be taken no earlier than 28 weeks of pregnancy.This class is our entire childbirth class series all in one day. We will cover Planning Your Birth and Healthy Pregnancy, Pain and Comfort Measures, Labor and Delivery, Medical Interventions, Postpartum and Newborn Care, and Breastfeeding Basics. Priority for this class is given to those who would not otherwise be able to attend a 4 weeks series due to their schedule or quickly approaching due date. Please do not sign up for this class unless you are able to attend the entire session. Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register.
Please bring your own water bottle for use with our water dispensers. Snacks will be provided when they are available. Please feel free to bring your own food to class.

Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register.
Those attending virtually may pick up a workbook and activity packet at our office prior to class.

Camera requirement: All participants are required to keep their cameras on during class as part of our program standards.
Screen name: Please make sure your screen name matches the name you registered with.
Remote signature: Don’t forget to use the link provided to sign your remote signature before the end of class.
Following these steps helps us maintain a supportive and interactive learning environment. Please note that not meeting these requirements may result in removal from the class.

Spinning Babies(This Class should be taken no earlier than 28 weeks of pregnancy)

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.Spinning Babies® Parent Class teaches you and your partner practical ways to prepare for a more comfortable pregnancy and an easier birth through a better understanding of anatomy and positioning. Be prepared to move and practice activities that will help your baby achieve and maintain optimal position for birth during this interactive class! Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. The pregnant person will need a support person or partner in attendance. However, if you do not have a support person, please let us know and we can provide that support for you.
Participants who attend this class may be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift card.
