Our Classes
Infant Massage(Only Adult Attendees Need to Complete the Registration)

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.Our infant massage instructor will discuss the benefits of infant massage for both infants and parents. The instructor will also instruct participants as they engage their babies in a gentle massage. This includes learning the various massage strokes and how to recognize their baby’s cues, as well as massage techniques for gassiness and colic. You are encouraged to take this class with your newborn to 6 months old, non mobile baby. You may bring an extra receiving blanket and a yoga mat or heavy quilt to put the baby on during the massage, or utilize one of the yoga mats we have available. Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register. Each participant who attends may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.
Please bring your own water bottle for use with our water dispensers. Snacks will be provided when they are available. Please feel free to bring your own food to class.
Intro to Baby Wearing

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.Attend this class to feel empowered about baby wearing alternatives and learn about many types of baby carrier styles and uses. Feel free to bring your own baby carrier for assistance with how to wear it properly.

Services Orientation and Enrollment Class for New Participants
with Morgan Thurmond
This class is for anyone who is pregnant or a parent of a child under 3 and would like to start services with San Antonio Birth Doulas. Once you attend this class you will be able to take advantage of all of the services that San Antonio Birth Doulas has to offer. Those who attend this class will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card. Food vouchers will also be available and participants can shop in our baby boutique for free. Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP at least 24 hours prior to the class date. Please also register your support person if they will be attending. This class is for new participants only.
Basic Life Support-American Heart Association
with Jenica Adams
This course will teach Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED skills. ***This class is free to all eligible participants and does not include a certification card from the American Heart Association. Due to safety reasons, anyone who is 36 weeks pregnant and beyond will not be eligable for certification due to the risk associated with the practice movements required to certify. If the participant would like to purchase the certification card, the cost will be $7.00. Participants must arrive on time for class to be eligible for certification***No children will be allowed to attend due to the nature of the class and the need for participants to practice their skills. Participants may be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift card and will be able to shop our baby boutique for free. (Seats for this class are based on single registrations. If partners will be attending together then they will both need to register)

Breastfeeding Basics
This class will cover the basics of breastfeeding. Topics will include:
- the benefits of breastfeeding
- how breastfeeding works
- getting a good latch
- positions for breastfeeding
- when to feed baby
- making sure baby is getting enough milk
- pumping and storing milk
- troubleshooting
Participants who attend this class will receive a Haakaa manual breast pump, limited to one per family, and may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card and can shop in the Baby Boutique.

Virtual-American Heart Association Health Lessons
Please arrive to class on time, access will be denied 15 minutes after class begins. These classes are part of the EmPOWERED series of classes offered in partnership with the American Heart Association. Each class focuses on a different health topic to assist participants in making healthy lifestyle choices. Participants may be entered into a raffle for a door prize after attending five classes.
Spinning Babies(This Class should be taken no earlier than 28 weeks of pregnancy)

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.Spinning Babies® Parent Class teaches you and your partner practical ways to prepare for a more comfortable pregnancy and an easier birth through a better understanding of anatomy and positioning. Be prepared to move and practice activities that will help your baby achieve and maintain optimal position for birth during this interactive class! Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. The pregnant person will need a support person or partner in attendance. However, if you do not have a support person, please let us know and we can provide that support for you.

Pelvic Floor Health

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.This informational session will discuss the role of the core/pelvic floor in our bodies, the effect of pregnancy and childbirth on the core/pelvic floor muscles, activity/exercise during pregnancy and/or postpartum, pelvic floor preparation for childbirth, postpartum musculoskeletal recovery after vaginal or cesarean delivery, common potential postpartum issues such as pelvic pain, prolapse and incontinence and role of physical therapy in managing caring for your pelvic health.
