We look at 5 types of car seats, how to properly install, and basic techniques to keep every passenger safe.San Antonio Birth Doulas is not a car seat distribution center and therefore car seats will not be given out for this class. Car seats will not be  installed during this class, however, there will be an opportunity to practice installing your car seat after class or you may schedule an individual appointment with one of our car seat technicians for assistance.  Each participant may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.

Please bring your own water bottle for use with our water dispensers. Snacks will be provided when they are available. Please feel free to bring your own food to class.

This will prepare parents by teaching them what to expect immediately after baby arrives, self care for new moms, as well as how to recognize the signs of postpartum depression.  Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register.

This is an informational class designed to educate parents about the benefits of signing with their baby from an early age. Parents will leave with an understanding of the many benefits of signing with their baby and how to use the most common signs as well as how to incorporate the signs into their daily infant care routines.

This class will cover the basics of breastfeeding. Topics will include:

• the benefits of breastfeeding
• how breastfeeding works
• getting a good latch
• positions for breastfeeding
• when to feed baby
• making sure baby is getting enough milk
• pumping and storing milk
• troubleshooting

Participants who attend this class will receive a Haakaa manual breast pump, limited to one per family, and may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card and can shop in the Baby Boutique.

• When to Feed Baby
• Making Sure Baby is Getting Enough Milk

This class is for anyone who is pregnant or a parent of a child under 3 and would like to start services with San Antonio Birth Doulas. Once you attend this class you will be able to take advantage of all of the services that San Antonio Birth Doulas has to offer. Those who attend this class will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card. Food vouchers will also be available and participants can shop in our baby boutique for free. Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP at least 24 hours prior to the class date. Please also register your support person if they will be attending.  This class is for new participants only. Doors will close 15 minutes after start time and late participants will be asked to sign up for the next class.
