Overview: This educational class is designed for expecting parents to gain a clear understanding of two common pregnancy-related conditions: gestational diabetes and hypertensive disorders, including gestational hypertension and preeclampsia. Through expert guidance, participants will learn how these conditions develop, how they are diagnosed, and most importantly, how to manage them for a healthy pregnancy and delivery.

• Risk factors and screening methods
• How gestational diabetes affects both mother and baby
• Nutrition and lifestyle strategies to manage blood sugar
• Monitoring techniques and treatment options, including insulin therapy
• Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy:
• Types: chronic hypertension, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, and eclampsiaSigns, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria
• Risk factors and potential complications
• Dietary and lifestyle recommendations
• When medical intervention or early delivery may be necessary
