Virtual Understanding Pelvic Floor Health Through Every Stage of Motherhood

Embark on a transformative journey to empower and support your body's incredible changes during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This three-part series is dedicated to nurturing your pelvic floor health, an often-overlooked yet vital part of well-being for expecting and new mothers.
Part 1: Prenatal Pelvic Floor Preparation: Discover the essential role of the pelvic floor during pregnancy and learn exercises and techniques to promote strength, flexibility, and awareness. This session focuses on preparing your body for labor while addressing common discomforts, ensuring you move through pregnancy with confidence and comfort.
Part 2: Pelvic Floor and the Birthing Process: Dive deep into the connection between the pelvic floor and childbirth. Explore techniques for relaxation and alignment to support the birthing process and reduce stress on this crucial group of muscles. Gain insights into breathing and positioning strategies that can make labor smoother and more empowering.
Part 3: Postpartum Pelvic Floor Recovery: After birth, your pelvic floor undergoes significant changes. This session provides guidance on healing, regaining strength, and addressing common challenges like incontinence and diastasis recti. Learn practical exercises and self-care methods tailored to your unique postpartum journey.
Whether you're new to the concept or looking to deepen your understanding, this series equips you with the knowledge and tools to care for your pelvic floor and overall health during one of life's most extraordinary chapters. Let's create a foundation for lifelong wellness together!

Virtual-American Heart Association Health Lessons
Please arrive to class on time, access will be denied 15 minutes after class begins. These classes are part of the EmPOWERED series of classes offered in partnership with the American Heart Association. Each class focuses on a different health topic to assist participants in making healthy lifestyle choices. Participants may be entered into a raffle for a door prize after attending five classes.
Breastfeeding Basics

This class will cover the basics of breastfeeding. Topics will include:
- the benefits of breastfeeding
- how breastfeeding works
- getting a good latch
- positions for breastfeeding
- when to feed baby
- making sure baby is getting enough milk
- pumping and storing milk
- troubleshooting
Participants who attend this class will receive a Haakaa manual breast pump, limited to one per family, and may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card and can shop in the Baby Boutique.
Please arrive to class on time. Participants will not be allowed into class if more than 15 minutes late.

Empowered Motherhood: Strategies for Emotional Wellness in Postpartum
Empowered Motherhood is a four-week series designed to help expecting mothers navigate the challenges they may face during the early postpartum period.
While this class is not a treatment for Postpartum Depression, it aims to provide participants with an understanding of the normal emotions experienced during the postpartum period, often referred to as the "Baby Blues," and how to recognize when these feelings might indicate something more serious, such as Postpartum Depression. Participants will also gain tools to manage stress during pregnancy and the postpartum period, set boundaries with loved ones, ask for help, communicate their needs, and identify resources for additional support when needed.
Please ensure you arrive on time, as participants arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted.
**This class is exclusively for expectant mothers. To foster a space for open sharing and vulnerability, partners are not permitted to attend. If the class is cancelled for any reason, participants will be notified promptly.**
Virtual Seguridad del asiento del coche (Car Seat Safety in Spanish)

The Parenthood Path: Physical and Emotional Prep for Baby's Arrival

This course led by Aidee Rosado, MOT, OTR, PCES of Crescent Pelvic Health and Wellness, aims to prepare birthing parents in their third trimester for birth, common postpartum pelvic floor complications, strategies to increase baby-parent bond, and introduction to the warning signs of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Aidee hopes this course will prepare parents for birth and beyond by providing a safe space to learn about the transition to parenthood. Partners welcomed and encouraged. The class will be offered in hybrid format.
Outline of topics covered-
• birthing positions to protect the pelvic floor
• common postpartum pelvic floor complications
• co-regulation and bonding with infant
• managing nervous system overwhelm
• overview of PMADs and introductory coping strategies for
managing symptoms.
