Parent’s will learn how play and interaction helps children through the different developmental stages. Participants will leave class with activities and tools for playing and interacting with their children from infancy through the toddler years. Each participant who attends this class will be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift card.

We look at 5 types of car seats, how to properly install, and basic techniques to keep every passenger safe.San Antonio Birth Doulas is not a car seat distribution center and therefore car seats will not be given out for this class. Car seats will not be  installed during this class, however, there will be an opportunity to practice installing your car seat after class or you may schedule an individual appointment with one of our car seat technicians for assistance.  Each participant may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.The class covers and discusses feeding, diapering, bathing, newborn health, and newborn safety. During this class you will have a chance to practice diapering, swaddling, and other elements of baby care. Those who attend may be entered in a raffle for a door prize, receive a pack of diapers and have a chance to shop for free in our baby boutique. Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register.

This class will cover common hospital procedures and how to advocate for yourself and your baby, the traits and reflexes that babies are born with, normal newborn behaviors and practical tips for comforting a crying baby. Each participant who attends the class may be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.

These classes are part of the EmPOWERED series of classes offered in partnership with the American Heart Association. Each class focuses on a different health topic to assist participants in making healthy lifestyle choices. Participants may be entered into a raffle for a door prize after attending five classes.

This class covers essential child safety topics: car seat safety, baby-proofing, and sleep safety. We'll discuss a car seat check-up, securing your home against common hazards, and creating a safe sleep environment to reduce risks like SIDS. Through expert advice and practical tips, you'll gain confidence in protecting your little one.

Be prepared to move and practice activities that will help your baby achieve and maintain optimal position for birth during this interactive class! Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. The pregnant person will need a support person or partner in attendance. However, if you do not have a support person, please let us know and we can provide that support for you.
