Marathon Childbirth Class

Please arrive to class on time, doors will close 15 minutes after start time.This class should be taken no earlier than 28 weeks of pregnancy.This class is our entire childbirth class series all in one day. We will cover Planning Your Birth and Healthy Pregnancy, Pain and Comfort Measures, Labor and Delivery, Medical Interventions, Postpartum and Newborn Care, and Breastfeeding Basics. Priority for this class is given to those who would not otherwise be able to attend a 4 weeks series due to their schedule or quickly approaching due date. Please do not sign up for this class unless you are able to attend the entire session. Seats for this class are individual. If both partners are attending they will both need to register.

Please bring your own water bottle for use with our water dispensers. Snacks will be provided when they are available. Please feel free to bring your own food to class.

 

 

The Parenthood Path: Physical and Emotional Prep for Baby's Arrival

This course led by Aidee Rosado, MOT, OTR, PCES of Crescent Pelvic Health and Wellness, aims to prepare birthing parents in their third trimester for birth, common postpartum pelvic floor complications, strategies to increase baby-parent bond, and introduction to the warning signs of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Aidee hopes this course will prepare parents for birth and beyond by providing a safe space to  learn about the transition to parenthood. Partners welcomed and encouraged. The class will be offered in hybrid format.

Outline of topics covered-     

 •     birthing positions to protect the pelvic floor    

 •     common postpartum pelvic floor complications     

 •     co-regulation and bonding with infant     

 •     managing nervous system overwhelm     

 •     overview of PMADs and introductory coping strategies for 

managing symptoms.

Este curso, dirigido por Aidee Rosado, MOT, OTR, PCES de Crescent Pelvic Health and Wellness, tiene como objetivo preparar a los padres gestantes en su tercer trimestre para el parto, las complicaciones comunes del suelo pélvico en el posparto, estrategias para fortalecer el vínculo entre el bebé y el progenitor, y una introducción a las señales de advertencia de los trastornos del estado de ánimo y ansiedad perinatales. Aidee espera que este curso prepare a los padres para el parto y más allá, ofreciendo un espacio seguro para aprender sobre la transición a la maternidad/paternidad. Se da la bienvenida y se anima a los acompañantes. La clase se ofrecerá en formato híbrido.

Virtual Childbirth Series

This class should be taken after 28 weeks of pregnancy.

The childbirth SERIES and the MARATHON are the same curriculum. Please do not register for both. 

Registrations are limited to the pregnant person and ONE support person. The support person must also register to hold their spot.

This 4 week series will equip birthing persons and support persons with the knowledge and tools necessary for birth, newborn expectations and the postpartum period.

Each week features a different topic. Topics include:

Week 1: Pain and Comfort

Week 2: Labor and Birth

Week 3: Medical Interventions

Week 4: Newborn Hospital Procedures and Postpartum Care

 

 

 

Please arrive to class at least 10 minutes before class start time. Doors will be locked and participants will not be allowed into class if more than 15 minutes late.
